Be Generous!
"I have not learned any new lesson since the outbreak of Covid19, but have re-learned a valuable message: Human generosity is made possible through Divine Love and Divine Love is felt through human deeds."
These thoughts were shared by our friend Rafael Santos.
"In the process of re-learning the lesson, I willed myself to recognize the presence of God through the acts of others around me.
"We all are witnesses to human generosity during this pandemic. Frontliners, public officials and private citizens, the religious, the workers, and everyone else who serve the people every day, exercise their selflessness for the sake of others. Frontliners hold an abundance of courage and charge towards imminent danger to save another person’s life. And I believe they do so because they live their deep faith and intense belief in the promise of their god. That is the only explanation I could ponder.
"And through their actions, I re-learn the lesson that every one of us always had the opportunity to be generous to our neighbor.
"May we be able to share our blessings and graces, to offer what we have, to those who have less and to those who need more. To be Persons for Others."
I remember a sermon in church where the preacher said God is always on the lookout for messengers -- people who can bring His love to others through their kindness.
We can be more sensitive to people around us, anywhere we go, and we'll never run out of people to help! And "help", by the way, is not only in terms of money or material things. Sometimes a simple "Hello!" or a smile or a "How are you?" is enough... BE GENEROUS!
