Okay, just a disclaimer before you play the video: Jessel is not totally blind but she is legally blind. She has congenital cataracts (from birth) and is generally classified as having visual impairment or partial blindness.
This video (and this blog in general) is meant to raise awareness and funds for blind massage therapists who until now are not able to go back to their jobs. Jie (her nickname) is also a DOH-licensed massage therapist who used to work with Bless Massage at Harrison Plaza, which closed down at the end of 2019. She focused on an online event massage booking service called Blind Massage Events Manila, but since the eruption of Taal Volcano and then all through the pandemic, their scheduled events had been cancelled.
