Blessed To Bless: We need your help!

It's official - we just got a permit* from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) to solicit donations for our helping project that we now call "Blessed To Bless"!
The short version:

We are helping blind massage therapists who have lost their jobs due to the pandemic, knowing that they have very limited opportunities compared to others in terms of income options especially nowadays.

We often send cash help to a beneficiary for the family's immediate needs, though in a few instances it can be groceries or other forms of assistance, like promoting a product or service that a beneficiary is selling.

The great thing is, we're introducing a NO-CASH OUT DONATION so anyone can really help!

Whether it's 50 pesos or  100 pesos or 10,000 pesos, the amount you share can help feed a family for a meal, for a day, or for a few days. Here are the easy ways to send blessings (and more ways to help if you'll scroll down):

We are required to submit a report to DSWD later, so we'd appreciate it if you could give us your full name, address, contact numbers, and donation amount. We will not make your info public without your explicit permission, but we have to include them in our report.

Now for the long version...

Why Help Blind Massage Therapists?

Massage clinics/spas were among businesses that closed down due to the pandemic. Like many, blind masseurs do not have income; unlike others, blind persons have very limited income options. Many establishments are operating again, but massage workplaces are not yet allowed to open and masseurs cannot yet offer massage services. (Even if they will be permitted again, fewer customers can be expected as there is yet no cure for or vaccine against the virus.)

Amid the pandemic, we were still blessed with income. In April 2020, we began to remit small amounts to blind masseurs, and friends soon shared in this endeavor. Around that time, we also asked friends to help a blind mother who lost her job and was stuck in Pasay - and generous hearts readily responded to bring her groceries. (Hey, shoutout to Pastor Rommel CardaƱo, Sis. Flor Amar, Bro. Rantie Pascual, Bro. Mike Binaya, Sis. Karen Ramos, et al.)

The principle behind this project is simply this: We are blessed to be a blessing, and we can glorify God in doing so.

“And God [is] able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all [things], may abound to every good work:” (2 Cor. 9:8)

What We Do

Blessed to Bless has helped dozens of blind persons in about two months, and we intend to continue extending assistance in the following forms:
  1. CASH AID: We often send small amounts of cash to help beneficiaries with their immediate needs.
  2. GROCERIES: We coordinate grocery deliveries to some beneficiaries.
  3. INCOME ASSISTANCE: We wish to extend small amounts of cash to help blind persons who will initiate/continue a micro-enterprise. We are also open other ways to help, including temporary work opportunities (as needs and skills can be matched).

How To Be A Blessing

This is a chance for you to bless others! We encourage you to be a part of this project through any of the following means:
  1. CASH DONATION: You may send regular or one-time cash donations in any amount via GCash, PayMaya, BDO, BPI, or other channels that are convenient for you. (See the account numbers and QR codes above.)
  2. GROCERY DELIVERY: You may buy and deliver groceries or other goods to help a specific blind person / family located nearest you. Just give us your address or preferred location and we’ll find a matching beneficiary/ies.
  3. HIRE OR BUY FROM A BLIND PERSON: Some blind persons are doing audio transcription, online sales, or physical vending. If you need someone to do transcription or have other requirements that will match a blind person’s skill, we’ll gladly connect you.

UPDATE: We're tying up with ATRIEV Computer School for the Blind to help persons with disabilities (PWDs) with startup micro-enterprises or other income channels. We are also in talks with Humanity & Inclusion (formerly Handicap International) for cooperation between our projects.

We are also open to other kinds of help - just tell us about what you have in mind.
